Miracles of Human Heart

Miracles of a “Diligent Human Heart”

“The Human Heart is perhaps one of the biggest miracles of the world. It works tirelessly, for the many years of our lives, to pump vitality through our body.”

F

rom prehistoric days, we always conveyed our gratitude for this wonderful organ, holding us safe and alive.  Our heart is the most excellent protector, like a shield, being the most prominent cause of mortality in several countries, especially developing nations.

Route of Blood flows across the heart….

Both the right and left sides of the human heart are operating simultaneously. The cycle outlined underneath is replicated over and over again, which enables blood to circulate repeatedly within the heart, lungs, and body.

Heart’s right side story......

Blood reaches the heart via two veins, superior and inferior vena cava, unloading oxygen-less blood from the bloodstream towards the atrium of the heart at the right side.

Upon atrium contraction, blood passes through the accessible tricuspid valve from the right side atrium to the ventricle.

The tricuspid valve closes down whenever the ventricle is full. It blocks blood flow from rushing back into the right atrium as the ventricle contraction takes place.

when the ventricle expands, the deoxygenated blood exit from the Heart through the pulmonary valve,  entered into the pulmonary artery and the lungs, where it becomes oxygenated and comes back to the left atrium via the pulmonary veins.

Left Side of the Heart…..

Pulmonary veins drain oxygenated blood from the lungs to the atrium at the left side of the heart.

Whenever the atrium closes, blood passes through the open mitral valve traveling down towards the left atrium to your left ventricle.

The mitral valve closes whenever the ventricle gets loaded. It restricts blood from circulating further into the atrium upon ventricle contraction.

Upon ventricle contraction, blood drains out from the heart following the aortic route, then aorta and gets distributed to different body parts as per requirement.

How Does Blood Flow Through Your Lungs?

·         When the blood passes through the pulmonary valve, it reaches your lung tissue. That considered as pulmonary circulation. Blood rushes away from the pulmonary vein towards the pulmonary artery through small capillary channels into the lungs.

·         The bloodstream that comes back reaches the heart’s right side and pushes the blood towards lung tissues. In the lungs, carbon dioxide is expelled from the blood and extracted out from the body when we breathe out.

Incredible!! Everything occurs in about a moment!

Two significant coronary supply routes, branch off from the aorta close to where the aorta and the left ventricle meet.

  • The right coronary artery provides blood to the right side atrium and ventricle. It divides into the dorsal dipping artery, which delivers blood to the left bottom ventricle as well as to the rear of the septum.
  • The left central coronary artery connects to the circumflex artery to the left anterior dipping artery. The circumflex artery provides blood to the left atrium, sides, and rear of the left ventricle, as well as the anterior artery at the left, delivers blood towards the left ventricle and to the septum base.

"Such arteries and their extensions provide blood to all areas of the heart tissue."

A debilitating path of coronary artery disorder......

It happens as the plaque gets accumulated into the coronary arteries which block the heart from receiving the rich oxygenated blood it requires.

When this occurs, a web of blood capillaries throughout the heart that are not generally open termed collateral vessels may expand or get activated.

It helps blood from flowing through the clogged artery to the heart tissue and shields the heart against damage.

Pay your attention and listen to your heartbeats...... Lub-Dub!!

If you're at a health check center, the physician will use a stethoscope specifically to the ears.  On each rhythm, a healthy heart produces a lub-dub tone. This voice came from the valves closing down the blood within the heart.

The first noise (the lub) occurs whenever the tricuspid and mitral valves shut. Next vibration (the dub) emerges as the pulmonary and aortic valves shut until the fluid has been forced out from the heart. Next time you walk to the surgeon, wonder if you can still listen to your lub-dub heartbeats.

Amazing!! It's your Pulse!!

Even though your heart is inside you, there are fun opportunities to learn it's functioning from outside. It is the heartbeat.

You can find your pulse by pressing the skin lightly anywhere there's a large artery just under your skin. There are two decent positions to locate that on the neck side or at your wrist-top, right behind the thumb.

Start playing about or skipping the rope for just a few minutes then check your pulse once more — yet how many pulses beat do you calculate for two minutes?

Soon you’ll realize that you've hit your heartbeat once you sense a little bit of rhythm beneath your neck. Each rhythm is triggered by the contracting (trying to squeeze) of your heart. If you'd like to discover what your pulse rate is, choose a second-hand monitor to record how often you can feel beats in one minute. You'll typically sound around 70 - 94 beats per minute while you're relaxing.

Try keeping your Heart cheerful …..

Many children are born with a healthy heart, so it's essential to keep your heart in excellent condition. How are a few things you can do to assist your heart cheerfully.....

Keep in mind your heart is indeed a muscle.

You have to work out to keep your heart strong and healthy. But, how?  While getting involved in a manner that keeps you strong and healthy, including stair stepper, jumping, and cardio practice. Seek to be engaged for at least 30-40 min every day! One hour would be much better for a healthy heart!

• Enjoy a wide range of nutritious foods…..

Enjoy a range of nutritious ingredients and minimize high-fat products, including certain saturated fats and Trans fats.

• Seek to enjoy at least five portions of fruits and veggies every day….

• Try and ignore sugary beverages as well as fruit juices…..

• Stop smoking!!  Otherwise, it will destroy your cardiovascular system…...

To wrap things up!!

Change your lifestyle, including your medical prescriptions, and stop your heart-harming patterns, such as hypertension or high cholesterol levels, throughout until they cause any problems. Alongside, a wide range of treatments, operational activities, and therapies will help you support your heart if injuries occur.

"Your heart has a right to be cherished for all the work it does. It starts pumping blood before your birth and keeps pumping even after your birth throughout as long as you can remember."
