Miracles of Human Heart

Miracles of a “Diligent Human Heart”

“The Human Heart is perhaps one of the biggest miracles of the world. It works tirelessly, for the many years of our lives, to pump vitality through our body.”

By – Manjula Banerjee

F

rom prehistoric days, we always conveyed our gratitude for this wonderful organ, holding us safe and alive.  Our heart is the most excellent protector, like a shield, being the most prominent cause of mortality in several countries, especially developing nations.

Route of Blood flows across the heart….

Both the right and left sides of the human heart are operating simultaneously. The cycle outlined underneath is replicated over and over again, which enables blood to circulate repeatedly within the heart, lungs, and body.

Heart’s right side story......

•        Blood reaches the heart via two veins, superior and inferior vena cava, unloading oxygen-less blood from the bloodstream towards the atrium of the heart at the right side.

•        Upon atrium contraction, blood passes through the accessible tricuspid valve from the right side atrium to the ventricle.

•        The tricuspid valve closes down whenever the ventricle is full. It blocks blood flow from rushing back into the right atrium as the ventricle contraction takes place.

•        when the ventricle expands, the deoxygenated blood exit from the Heart through the pulmonary valve,  entered into the pulmonary artery and the lungs, where it becomes oxygenated and comes back to the left atrium via the pulmonary veins.

Left Side of the Heart…..

•        Pulmonary veins drain oxygenated blood from the lungs to the atrium at the left side of the heart.

•        Whenever the atrium closes, blood passes through the open mitral valve traveling down towards the left atrium to your left ventricle.

•        The mitral valve closes whenever the ventricle gets loaded. It restricts blood from circulating further into the atrium upon ventricle contraction.

•        Upon ventricle contraction, blood drains out from the heart following the aortic route, then aorta and gets distributed to different body parts as per requirement.

How Does Blood Flow Through Your Lungs?

·         When the blood passes through the pulmonary valve, it reaches your lung tissue. That considered as pulmonary circulation. Blood rushes away from the pulmonary vein towards the pulmonary artery through small capillary channels into the lungs.

·         The bloodstream that comes back reaches the heart’s right side and pushes the blood towards lung tissues. In the lungs, carbon dioxide is expelled from the blood and extracted out from the body when we breathe out.

Incredible!! Everything occurs in about a moment!

Two significant coronary supply routes, branch off from the aorta close to where the aorta and the left ventricle meet.

  • The right coronary artery provides blood to the right side atrium and ventricle. It divides into the dorsal dipping artery, which delivers blood to the left bottom ventricle as well as to the rear of the septum.
  • The left central coronary artery connects to the circumflex artery to the left anterior dipping artery. The circumflex artery provides blood to the left atrium, sides, and rear of the left ventricle, as well as the anterior artery at the left, delivers blood towards the left ventricle and to the septum base.

"Such arteries and their extensions provide blood to all areas of the heart tissue."

A debilitating path of coronary artery disorder......

It happens as the plaque gets accumulated into the coronary arteries which block the heart from receiving the rich oxygenated blood it requires.

When this occurs, a web of blood capillaries throughout the heart that are not generally open termed collateral vessels may expand or get activated.

It helps blood from flowing through the clogged artery to the heart tissue and shields the heart against damage.

Pay your attention and listen to your heartbeats...... Lub-Dub!!

If you're at a health check center, the physician will use a stethoscope specifically to the ears.  On each rhythm, a healthy heart produces a lub-dub tone. This voice came from the valves closing down the blood within the heart.

The first noise (the lub) occurs whenever the tricuspid and mitral valves shut. Next vibration (the dub) emerges as the pulmonary and aortic valves shut until the fluid has been forced out from the heart. Next time you walk to the surgeon, wonder if you can still listen to your lub-dub heartbeats.

Amazing!! It's your Pulse!!

Even though your heart is inside you, there are fun opportunities to learn it's functioning from outside. It is the heartbeat.

You can find your pulse by pressing the skin lightly anywhere there's a large artery just under your skin. There are two decent positions to locate that on the neck side or at your wrist-top, right behind the thumb.

Start playing about or skipping the rope for just a few minutes then check your pulse once more — yet how many pulses beat do you calculate for two minutes?

Soon you’ll realize that you've hit your heartbeat once you sense a little bit of rhythm beneath your neck. Each rhythm is triggered by the contracting (trying to squeeze) of your heart. If you'd like to discover what your pulse rate is, choose a second-hand monitor to record how often you can feel beats in one minute. You'll typically sound around 70 - 94 beats per minute while you're relaxing.

Try keeping your Heart cheerful …..

Many children are born with a healthy heart, so it's essential to keep your heart in excellent condition. How are a few things you can do to assist your heart cheerfully.....

Keep in mind your heart is indeed a muscle.

You have to work out to keep your heart strong and healthy. But, how?  While getting involved in a manner that keeps you strong and healthy, including stair stepper, jumping, and cardio practice. Seek to be engaged for at least 30-40 min every day! One hour would be much better for a healthy heart!

• Enjoy a wide range of nutritious foods…..

Enjoy a range of nutritious ingredients and minimize high-fat products, including certain saturated fats and Trans fats.

• Seek to enjoy at least five portions of fruits and veggies every day….

• Try and ignore sugary beverages as well as fruit juices…..

• Stop smoking!!  Otherwise, it will destroy your cardiovascular system…...

To wrap things up!!

Change your lifestyle, including your medical prescriptions, and stop your heart-harming patterns, such as hypertension or high cholesterol levels, throughout until they cause any problems. Alongside, a wide range of treatments, operational activities, and therapies will help you support your heart if injuries occur.

"Your heart has a right to be cherished for all the work it does. It starts pumping blood before your birth and keeps pumping even after your birth throughout as long as you can remember."

Architecture of Human Heart

Astounding Architecture of a "Human Heart"

The human Heart is an extensive network of blood vessels —Veins, arteries, even capillaries are around 60,000 miles wide. That is sufficiently long to go around the world more than twice!

By – Manjula Banerjee

T

he human heart is a muscular pumping organ transporting blood all across our body using the circulatory framework, providing oxygen and other supplements to the tissues, and evacuating carbon dioxide along with other wastes products. The human heart is supposed to be the body's motor room, answerable for transmitting life-continuing blood utilizing a 97,000-kilometer long system of vessels. The organ works interminably, pulsating 100,000 times per day, 40 million times per year, in absolute timing up to three billion heartbeats across an average lifespan.

The embryonic heart develops through few distinct phases within the uterus, initially representing the heart of a shark, gradually take the shape of a two-chambered frog heart, afterword a three-chambered snake heart, eventually embracing the four-chambered configuration as a human heart.

Location of the Human Heart!!

The human heart is situated in between the pair of lungs at the mid-chest region, behind and marginally towards the left lung of the human rib bone, the sternum.

Realities about the human heart….

Ø  A human heart equivalent to the size of one’s fist.

Ø  The heart weighs around equals to 10 to 12 ounces that are, 80 to 340 grams, in men and 7- 10 ounces that is 235 - 280 grams in ladies.

Ø  The heart beats 100,000 times each day (around 3 billion pulsates in total lifespan).

Ø  At old age, the heart pulsates around 60 - 80 times every minute.

Ø  Newborns' hearts beat quicker than grown-up hearts, around 70 - 190 every minute.

Ø  The heart siphons around 6 quarts (5.7 liters) of blood all across the human body.

Ø  The heart is located in the center of the chest, usually pointing left.

So what’s up, MR. Heart!!

Everywhere we find and learn about the human heart structure. Years ago, people sometimes believed their heart is responsible for feelings to develop in them, maybe because the heart rate increases whenever an individual is frightened or happy. Presently we realize that feelings originate from the mind, and for this situation, the cerebrum advises the heart to accelerate. So what's the heart up to, at that point? How can it keep occupied? What does it resemble? How about we discover!!

……… A human heart is more than an “A Muscular Organ “

Your heart is a pumping muscular organ!  It is located towards the left at the center of your chest, so it's equal to one’s fist size.

"But cardiac muscle is unique due to its performance"

The heart pumps blood all across your body. The blood supplies to the body are rich in oxygen along with other essential nutrients that it requires. It also trashes the waste materials from the body.

Your heart is similar to a pumping organ. The right side of your heart gets blood from the body and transmits it towards the lungs.

The core works of the human heart rely on the pumping mechanism. The right side of your heart receives deoxygenated blood from all your body parts, ultimately transmitted towards your lungs by your heart.

 Unlocking the Secret behind heartbeat…….

Before each beat, your heart loaded up with blood. At that point contraction of your heart muscle contraction allows the splattering of the blood all around the body wherever it requires. At the point when the heart contracts, it tends to squeeze itself, just like if you try to close your fist little tightly.

That is similar to what your heart does so it can spurt out the blood. Your heart does this the entire day and throughout the night, consistently. The heart is one diligent employee! The atria and ventricles cooperate, on the other hand contracting and unwinding to pump out blood through your heart. The electric circuit of the heart is the source of energy that makes it happen. Your pulse is set off by electrical driving forces that move down a unique pathway through the heart.

Let get into the compartments of the Heart…..

The heart is composed of four diverse blood-filled segments, and every one of these segments is known as a chamber. Two chambers of the human heart are on either sides namlely right and left chamber. One chamber is on the top and one chamber is on the base. The two chambers on top are known as the atria. In case you're speaking just around one, consider it an atrium.

*       Explaining the Chambers of human heart, different Valves, Vessels, associated Walls, and Conduction System…….

The heart consists of four chambers. The upper two chambers are called atria (singled as, atrium), and the bottom two are named as ventricles (singled as, ventricle).

Strong muscular dividers, named septa or septum, partition the heart into different sides. The atrium and ventricle at the right side of your heart work to pump deoxygenated (oxygen-less blood) to your lungs. However, the left atria and ventricle of your heart supply oxygenated blood across your body.

All about Your ‘four-chambered human heart’……

• The tricuspid valve is located between the right atrium and the ventricles.

• The pulmonary valve is located within the right ventricle and the pulmonary artery.

• The mitral valve located within the left atrium and ventricle

• The aortic valve is located within the left ventricle and the aorta.

These valves open when blood goes through them and afterward near shield the blood from streaming off course.

 Major Vessel’s appearance…..

These four heart chambers are connected to large significant arteries or veins that can deliver blood to or draw blood out from the heart.

The atria are the blood accepting platform of the heart. The right heart chamber gets its gracefully of oxygen-less blood from the two most extensive veins in the body, the prevalent and substandard vena cava (superior and inferior ones)

The left atrium gets oxygenated blood through the lungs via pulmonary veins. The two atria channel them gracefully of blood into the ventricles. Ventricles are the heart's transport points. The ventricle at the right side flows oxygen-less blood into the lungs via the pulmonary artery. in contrast, the left ventricular flow oxygen-rich blood into our body via the aorta, the main artery.

Heart Wall layers …….

The heart comprises three layers: the endocardium, myocardium, and epicardium. The endocardium is the thin layer that lines the inside of the heart. The myocardium is the center layer of the heart. It is the thickest layer of the heart.

The epicardium is a thin layer on the heart from where the coronary artery is situated. The pericardium is a small sac the heart sits in, frequently loaded up with a modest quantity of liquid, which isolates the heart from different structures in the chest, for example, the lungs.

 What about the Conduction System!

The conduction framework is the heart's implicit pacemaker. This unique tissue sets the pulse and permits the upper and lower chambers to speak with one another so they can work in an organized manner.

Well Lastly!!

Structure and capacity in any organ are equivalent to both in wellbeing and ailment. Regardless of whether we are prepared to acknowledge, or not, numerous inquiries in cardiovascular medication are as yet pending, because of our deficient knowledge in fundamental science.

The human heart has hidden gems, kept under wraps, enclosed in quietness; emotions, expectations, fantasies, enjoyments, for whom the charms were broken whenever disclosed.

MEDITATION

Mind-boggling Effects of Meditation on Human Brain Structure……

" Meditation provides exceptional benefits that a human mind can attain only in this form, that brings genuine joy, calm within, and heightened attention. Whenever the mind soaks up wisdom, the brain often showcases physical activity — sometimes significant transitions too”

By – Manjula Banerjee

M

editation brings positivism, yet how these conduct and mental changes brought can be clarified by understanding the neurological impacts of doing meditation. Meditation and brain activity go hand in hand. However, research has been rolling inconsistently for quite a long while at this point, with new examinations coming out pretty much consistently to represent some unique advantages of meditation. In fact, on the other hand, some primitive benefits that were a little while ago have been affirmed with fMRI or EEG.

“Meditation effects like a brain-booster nootropic.”

A regular meditation believes to have a stunning assortment of neurological advantages – from changes in cerebral grey matter volume to decreased activation throughout the "me" brain centers to increased coordination across brain areas.

Explaining a case study……

A team of neurologists decided to find out how long stretches of meditation for years had altered the personality of an experienced Buddhist( monk).

Dr. Richard Davidson drove an experiment from the University of Wisconsin where they attached 256 cathodes electrodes to a Tibetan monk named Matthew Ricard, who had surrendered a vocation in science and went through decades ruminating in the Himalayas. Dr. Davidson and his associates were amazed by Ricard's cognitive signature ( brain structural review), having never observed anything like it.

The action in his left prefrontal cortex (liable for stifling negative feelings) and strange gamma wavelengths (recommending indications of joy) drove them to name him "the most joyful man on the planet." Regardless of whether Ricard is the most euphoric man on earth or not, his cerebrum shows that something novel is going on.

While conventions in the East have asserted for centuries that contemplation can make you more joyful, several of the early scientific findings that revealed meditation may even have contributed to permanent brain improvements.

Our Mind is not a fixed entity but is instead something we can train, like a muscle…….

The underlying mechanism here is called self-directed neuroplasticity, a fancy way of saying that applying your attention in particular means that correspond to permanent improvements in structural and functional brain.

Be that as it may, does it take a long time in the Himalayas to accomplish what Ricard did? Or on the other hand, is it some way or another open to us all amid our bustling lives?

Although permanent brain improvements by "athlete-class meditators" take years, we too will attain a certain degree of mental fitness as well.

Ricard confirms three primary mediation that he performs routinely……

Those include focused attention, open monitoring, and loving-kindness. So, below is the quick description of each of these….

1. Focused Attention Meditation….

Such meditation requires the selection of a single source of focus during meditation, precisely your breath. You center all your attention upon that entity and turn it back every moment your mind drifts. Subsequently, with experience, the subconscious will settle down and start to discover bliss across every single breath.

2. Open Monitoring Meditation….

Next practice, customarily called, vipassana, means strengthening the mind of all that is occurring in the next stage. When you remain to keep your eyes shut, you quietly observe images, tastes, textures, and f even feelings when they float into your consciousness.

3. Compassion Meditation…..

Richard explains that this activity, historically known as metta, gives everyone the most happiness out of others mentioned earlier. Research has demonstrated that kindness and love raise good emotions and a feeling of human relation improves selfless actions, activates hormones of pleasure in the amygdala ( a brain part), and decreases implicit bias (conscious and unconscious segregation).

Specific improvements to the brains of mindful practitioners……..

The evidence clearly shows that there are many aspects that mindfulness can influence the shape and manipulate the functionality of the brain as well.

·          Meditation reshapes the prefrontal cortex ......

This region of the mind is answerable for healthy dynamics. Studies have demonstrated that meditation raises the amount of brain tissue (grey matter) throughout this area.

·         Amygdala size gets smaller after meditation practice……

The amygdala is a central brain organ recognized as the mind's psychological or anxiety core that controls emotions. Narrower amygdala detected in more conscientious individuals is correlated with better mood control.

·         Hippocampus region of the brain gets thicker after meditation…….

The hippocampus is the gateway to memory and concentration. It will increase your learning power, as well.  A report shows a few months of mindful meditation exercise has expanded the brain size of the hippocampus.

·         Meditation Increases overall grey matter……..

Grey matter within the brain is essential for computational capabilities and related to knowledge, tends to improve with mindfulness experience.

•  Meditation Stimulates the operation of high-abundance gamma brainwave action

High-frequency gamma beams equate with elevated consciousness and joy. Long-term meditators were found to have more gamma of wave flow activation both during and after mediation.

Well ! How will you Improve Your Level of intelligence, Memory, cognitive capabilities...

Did you realize that your quantifiable degree of knowledge (IQ), memory, and general intellectual competence are not for all time set levels? How to change your cerebrum?

‘ The main answer for this is standardized meditation that will affect your way of life without limits.’

Scientists at the University of Wisconsin have discovered that during meditation, Zen Buddhist priests show a single synchronization of cerebrum waves known as gamma synchrony, an example progressively connected with powerful cerebrum work and the union of movement that we call the brain.

Ø  In a Normal person- Uneven brainwaves with a low output. It is vulnerable to uneasiness, wretchedness, and debilitated psychological wellness.

Ø  After meditation (15-25 min)-Meditation will align the two hemispheres of the brain, enabling both to function in harmony. But what will be the outcome?    Neurological connectivity of emotions and thoughts increases, leading to a more productive, more cohesive network, enhancing both mental and enthusiastic well-being.

It's a moment to enhance your creative thinking and raise intellectual capacity through mindfulness...

"Those who meditate daily appear to have surprisingly more grounded, thicker 'Corpus Callosum' But how !!

The brain is subdivided into two hemispheres: the left side and right side of the brain. Both halves of a human brain are pretty much the same, but with a significant variation between how knowledge is stored. Logical examinations express that individuals are either left-brained or right-brained, which means one side of your cerebrum is prevailing.

Ongoing examinations have discovered that "Corpus Callosum" is a band of nerve filaments that interface the left and right mind permitting correspondence between both sides of the equator. Presently the investigation says that individuals who meditate routinely, will in general, have astoundingly more grounded, thicker 'Corpus Callosum' when contrasted with non-mediators. So on the off chance that you are hoping to amplify your Intellectual capacity of both the hemispheres of your brain, then upgraded memory at that point begins with an everyday meditation practice.

The Scientific Mysteries behind the Great "Einstein Brain."

Albert Einstein may be the best scientist ever to grace the world. It claimed that he had a rare and robust brain. After his demise, his brain was stored and some photos were also developed for further research. An experiment performed at Florida State University, wherein they contrasted Einstein's cerebrum pictures and those of 85 ordinary human minds and they discovered something one of a kind.

Einstein had an exceptional "prefrontal cortex" (PFC) which may have contributed towards his incredible intellectual capacities. Neurologists also proved that individuals who actively meditate have more synaptic mass, size, including brain impulses throughout their prefrontal cortex.

Typical human ‘BRAIN VS EINSTEIN’  brain……...

A typical human brain contains reasons called the parietal operculum and the sub-par parietal projection; the last one is the seat of numerical and visual.

EINSTEIN’S BRAIN proved to be exceptionally different due to the absence of the parietal operculum region of his brain. It permitted the entire parietal lobe to expand 15 percent broader than average.

"That precisely what rendered Einstein's intellect exceptionally. Think about how the world is going to improve if we get just a quarter of Einstein's genius brain!!

To wrap things up here!!

If you have read the article up until this point, you currently realize that how a day by day meditation practice can open a different component of incredible advantages: less nervousness, better choices, more joy, higher IQ and the rundown goes on. There are ample experiments and research is plenty. There is sufficient nonscientific analysis and records considering meditation to be a spine for every individual who needs to lead a happy and fruitful life.

'So proceed with a routine meditation, rehearse it properly as per mentioned guidance, and you will find another life and another you.'
